March 26, 2015

On March 18, 2015, Institute President and CEO Fred Hobby received the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) President’s Award at the organization’s Congress of Healthcare Leadership in Chicago. This award, bestowed just four times since its inception in 2006, recognizes those who have provided exceptional service to ACHE. Hobby has led the Institute, an AHA affiliate, since 2005. During his tenure, he has enhanced and advanced many initiatives at the Institute, including its Summer Enrichment Program, CDM program and a comprehensive benchmarking survey on diversity and disparities in U.S. hospitals.

“Throughout his career, Fred has demonstrated a passion for advancing equity and inclusion in the health care delivery system,” said Deborah Bowen, ACHE president and CEO.
