How once-vacant sites are becoming hubs for health equity in Michigan

An old shuttered Classic Chevrolet dealership in Wyoming, Michigan is now a safe haven and healthcare clinic to low income families and homeless in Michigan. Cherry Health, an independent, non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is promoting health equity to Michigan’s homeless population. Since 2012, Cherry Health has transformed multiple buildings into healthcare service facilities throughout its 30 year history to promote health equity to income-challenged neighborhoods.
