California State University Fullerton Nursing School increases diversity in students and curriculum

Last year, Cal State Fullerton’s School of Nursing received a four-year Health Resources and Services Administration Workforce Diversity grant, EMBRACE, that allows the school to add programs both in and out of the classroom. “Our goal is to be able to increase the diversity of our professional nursing workforce to reflect our surrounding community,” said Stephanie Vaughn, director of the School of Nursing. Since accepting the grant the school has implemented new programming such as Holistic admissions reviews, more scholarships, and more resources like writing tutors and a nurse coach. Read more here.
