Fall Enrichment Program (FEP)

Each Fall, the Institute seeks proactive health care organizations and recent MPH/MHA/MBA graduates to join the 2019 - 2020 Fall Enrichment Program (FEP). FEP is a 20-week, paid internship opportunity for academically strong, diverse individuals that have graduated within the last two years from their Graduate Program and want to become exceptional hospital administrators and health care leaders. It connects host sites with qualified internship candidates for an immersive on-site experience. Participating students are available for immediate, full-time placement in appropriate, open positions.

Host sites that register early receive a prime opportunity to recruit top students from accredited national health training programs. Qualified applicants post a profile to our secure website and are vetted by Institute staff. Then we make the match, presenting the best candidate for your consideration.

The FEP has rolling registration for both host sites and students. We are always accepting new applications, all the way until the start of the program. For more information, contact Jasmin Clark at (312) 422-2658 or jclark@aha.org.

How To Register:

To register as a Host Site for the Fall Enrichment Program, click here. (Note: There is no cost for registering for the program. You will not be invoiced until you select an intern.)

1.) Where it says, "Enter your Organization:" enter IFDSEP. Do not enter IFDFEP.

2.) Enter your profile information. Host sites should fill out the white and gray sections.

3.) Once you have completed the registration, you will receive an email with your Profile Id. Hang onto that. You'll need that to log in, update your profile and search for interns.

4.) Download and review the SEP Host Site Handbook and SEP Preceptors Handbook. (Enhanced instruction for your on-site preceptor.)

5.) Download and fill out the FEP Host Site Commitment Form.

6.) Email Membership & Education Specialist, Jasmin Clark at jclark@aha.org to connect with any further instructions for participating in the Fall Enrichment Program. Include your FEP Host Site Commitment Form with this email.

To be eligible for the Fall Enrichment Program, you must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen (Work-Study Visas or Permanent Residents are not eligible for this program.)
  • Be a recent graduate U.S. student from an MHA/ MPH/ MBA or a comparable degree that has graduated within the last two (2) years. (We currently cannot place undergraduates.)
  • Be able to move to a different US city from October 2019 - February 2020.

How to Apply to FEP:

1.) Visit our Online Database by clicking here .

2.) In the field, "Enter your Organization:" enter IFDSEP. (Note: Do not enter IFDFEP.

3.) Enter your contact information into the blank applicant profile. Do not fill out the gray "Host Site Section", just the blue "Student Section." Please do not skip any fields as a completed profile is required to register. (Note: The registry will not save your progress if you close the window or leave before it is complete.)

4.) Once you complete the profile, you will receive a confirmation email with your Profile Id. Save that information. You will need it to log in and update your profile or upload documents. If you do not receive a confirmation email, then your profile was not completed and you will need to create a new profile.

5.) Assemble your Application Packet Materials and upload them to your "App Packet" page. Questions about the Application packet materials are answered at the bottom of this page. They include:

  • Your letter of introduction - 1-2 pages telling us more about yourself. Please indicate in the first sentence of your letter that you are applying for the Fall Enrichment Program.
  • A current resume
  • Proof of US citizenship (i.e., Birth Certificate, US Passport or US Passport Card only. Driver's license, social security card or green card will not suffice.)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Graduate transcript that includes your program of study and that you completed the program
  • One current, professional digital photograph of yourself, uploaded to your profile page.
  • A completed, uploaded copy of the FEP Intern Commitment Form.

6.) Log in to your profile in the FEP Registry and upload these documents to your "App Packet" page. Note: Students who do not complete the profile and upload all documents will not be eligible for matching.

Once you've uploaded all documents, you are registered for the FEP!
