Scholarships for Undergraduate Students:

The Institute for Diversity in Health Management does not currently offer scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students.

Scholarships for Graduate Students:

Applications for our 2013 Scholarship Program are now CLOSED. 
Applications for the 2014 season will go online on Oct. 01, 2013.

 

The Institute for Diversity in Health Management currently offers three annual scholarships to graduate students who are pursuing a degree in healthcare administration or a comparable discipline. Information about these individual scholarships are available below.

Transamerica Retirement Solutions Leaders in Healthcare Scholarship: $5,000

Note: This scholarship was also recently named the "Diversified Investment Advisors Leaders in Healthcare Scholarship". It has undergone a recent name change.

Available to first and second year graduate students who are pursuing degrees in healthcare administration or comparable degree program (i.e., MBA, MPH, MHA, MPA, MSN or BSN). Individuals must demonstrate financial need, a commitment to community service and excel academically (minimum 3.0 GPA). This scholarship will be awarded to two candidates each year.

Elliott C. Roberts Scholarship: $1,000tree

 

The Elliott C. Roberts Scholarship recognizes graduate student leaders who represent ethnically diverse cultural backgrounds and is named in honor of Elliott C. Roberts, Sr., one of the nation's leading public hospital administrators. 

The scholarship is available to second-year graduate students who demonstrate a commitment to community service, excel academically (minimum 3.0 GPA), and who demonstrate financial need.

Cathy L. Brock Memorial Scholarship: $1,000 The Cathy L. Brock Memorial Scholarship recognizes graduate student leaders who represent ethnically diverse cultural backgrounds and is named in memory of Cathy L. Brock, Director of Operations for the American Hospital Association's (AHA) Health Research and Educational Trust. 


This scholarship is available to first- and second-year graduate students who are pursuing degrees in healthcare administration or a comparable degree (ie., MBA, MPH, MHA, MPA) who demonstrate an interest or commitment to a career in finance.  Individuals must demonstrate financial need and excel academically (minimum 3.0 GPA).
