Our speaker for this event will be David Hunt, J.D., President and CEO of Critical Measures. Critical Measures is a national management consulting and training firm that specializes in cross-cultural healthcare. A former practicing attorney with experience in health and civil rights law, David has developed a national reputation for his expertise in the law of language access in health care. He has used that expertise to provide keynote presentations on this subject to both the American Hospital Association and the American Bar Association. Critical Measures regularly conducts language access audits of leading hospital systems compliance with federal and state language access laws and has developed an online assessment tool to help hospitals evaluate the cultural and linguistic competence of physicians and advanced practice providers. Based on years of experience in this field, Critical Measures has also created CME accredited e-learning programs to teach providers about the law of language access and to assist them in developing clinical competence in cross-cultural medicine.
