Employers with federal contracts and subcontracts that meet specific dollar values for coverage have responsibilities that include:
-
Collecting and maintaining data;
-
Posting specific employment posters; and
-
Developing an affirmative action program.
Please join the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs' (OFCCP) Margaret Kraak, branch chief for planning and program development, and Nakisha Pugh, senior compliance officer with OFCCP's functional affirmative action program unit, to learn more about the obligations of federal contractors.
During this webinar, we will discuss the building blocks on how to prepare affirmative action programs, required by:

2. Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (as amended)
3. Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (as amended),
We will also discuss good-faith efforts, positive outreach and recruitment and conducting self-assessments/monitoring contractor compliance. The presentation also will promote connecting with community-based organizations.
